About MS Research Group

MS group focuses on the design and self-assembling functional supramolecular architectures, (a) C3-symmetric organic supramolecules containing noncovalent heterocyclic trimers and (b) rhenium-carbonyl-based complexes including acyclic complexes, helicates, mesocates, 2D/3D-metallocycles, and cages and explore their potential applications in molecular sensors, antiviral, and anticancer agents.

The central challenge for the group is finding the right synthetic combinations to create small organic clusters and inorganic complexes (acyclic complexes, helicates, mesocates, cycles and cages) using readily available and cheap organic building units with/without rhenium carbonyl as molecular sensors and metallodrugs.

MS research group consists of talented responsible research scholars who completed their master degree from various colleges, universities, and institutes across India including Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Calcutta, Delhi, Goa, Kerala, Orissa, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. The group mantra is “if anything is worth doing, do it with all your heart – Buddha”.
